'You Need This' is a session focussing on the wellness of your myofascial and neuromuscular system. Using bouncers we'll use rebounding and myofascial release techniques to help your mind and body to mentally and physical unwind. It'll also help improve balance, coordination and neuromuscular communication and you'll be smiling too as bouncing is such fun!
These 'workouts' will challenge your idea of regular rebounding BOUNCE and cardio workouts, but its what your body and brain needs.
If you are a cardio junkie, and think of 'wellness' style workouts as a waste of gym time- I get it! But believe me you probably need this more!
So, schedule your workouts to allow for a recovery day and come open minded and leave your pre-conceptions at the door.

Challenging but fun cardio & resistance workout using dual handled medicine balls and resistance bands.

If you're looking for the relaxation of yoga but something a bit different this could be for you.
Using light weights in a very mindful and calm manner, focusing on your core and breathing, this workout works every muscle in the body without impact and without the burn. Leave knowing you've worked out but feeling calm, stretched and relaxed.

What is ZerkaDO BOUNCE ‘Perspire & Inspire’?
‘Perspire & Inspire’ is a 5 week program where you get to playdate every day! It’s about putting the fun back into working out. What happens is that you get added to a private Facebook group. Each week you’ll get 2x 15-20 minute workouts to do each day using a mini trampoline/bouncer/rebounder – whatever you want to call it. The workouts are super fun with a Warmup, Energetic Bouncing, Strength & Resistance, Core & Balance and Stretch & Breathing segment in each – all in no more than 20 minutes! The aim is you try and BOUNCE at least 4-5 times a week, but if life gets in the way 1 or 2 is better than none! The workouts are suitable and adaptable for all fitness levels.
What do I need to do?
All you need to do is get a bouncer, you can ask Santa to bring you one or treat yourself to a guilt free gift! You can buy them for less for $50 at Canadian Tire and Walmart, Amazon has them too for various prices. You can get them on Kijiji etc too. Make sure you get one suitable for your weight though!
You then just need to reserve your spot by payment of the fee and emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll send you an enrollment/health questionnaire form and waiver. Your spot is secured after us receiving your fee and your enrollment form. Waivers can be completed at the event launch on April 20.
You’ll also get an ‘e-copy’ of the program to print out with the workouts and pictures of the exercises that you can work along to yourself at home. You’ll also be added to the FB group where you’ll have access to the workouts of the week to work along to with ME!
This is open to everyone over 16. The aim is that you PERSPIRE and in turn INSPIRE your kids, loved ones, friends, cat, dog because as they start seeing you doing it, hopefully they’ll want to get involved and asking to do the workouts too. You can give them the bouncer one you’ve finished and let them follow along to the video themselves.
When does it start?
April 20th 2019 is the start date – event launch. You’re invited to bring your bouncer to Okotoks - venue TBD depending on numbers. You’ll meet me and all the other participants. I’ll introduce and explain the program, and we’ll do a few of the workouts too so you know how to work out safely and get the most of the program. This is 930-1130 am and you’ll be having breaks and time for chatting and maybe checking out a few vendors too. The videos will be ready and uploaded then ready for you to follow along to each day.
If you can’t make the launch that’s fine. You just start on Monday 22 April 2019 with the videos!
What if I already have a gym program/workout routine?
This can be used as an ‘extra’ workout to complement your existing program or as a stand alone program of its own. You could add this on at the start or end of your regular workout or even as an extra bonus workout.
Because it’s fun! It makes you smile! Other people want to join in! As it helps us feel happy, it helps us reduce stress!
It really helps increase the lymphatic flow in our bodies. Basically the lymphatic system organs and vessels are responsible for flushing away body toxins, waste and other unwanted stuff in our bodies. If you are having trouble going to the toilet, you can rely on bouncing to help get things moving!
It also improves the immune system by increasing the action of red bone marrow and supporting tissue repair.
Most exercise involves stressing muscles and joints, and causes impact on the body which often leads to injury. Bouncing is much less stressful on the body and thus more effective because you can exercise for a longer time without feeling tired or feeling pressure on your joints.

The registration cost is $80. If you refer a friend and they enrol (must be a non-existing/previous ZerkaDO client) I will give you a reduction of $10 so $70 for you and I will give them the $70 fee too! Bargain!
